Abstract: 
The purpose of this study was to investigate and research the environmental effects that interior design plays within the hospitality industry, and how it can support the resurgence and revitalization of hotel use in a post-pandemic world. Through historic, current, and future exploration of hospitality design, this study used a variety of methods including interviews from hospitality and interior design industry professionals to support the ideas made within this thesis. The aim is to provide future recommendations within hospitality design to create an environment that can withstand the implications caused by a global pandemic or other international outbreaks.
