The Progression of Scientific Research within the Arctic Circle

Abstract:
In an effort to investigate and develop the world around us, we seek to understand each diverse ecosystem that calls our planet home. In areas of extreme inaccessibility, our methods of understanding and exploring are limited. This is true for the Arctic Circle, where weather conditions and a harsh climate make it almost impossible for scientific exploration. How can the scientific study of plant life in the Arctic Circle be enhanced by exposure and collection equipment? With an environmental study of the conditions our researchers face, and an ethnographic view to user centered design, a new approach to understanding and studying our polar ecosystem can be developed.
