A study focused on utilizing Feminist Theory and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to empower adolescent girls through a running FAB Foundation facility

Abstract: 
This research paper explores design considerations related to a FAB Center for the running program FAB which focuses on empowering adolescent girls. The data collection includes literature reviews, observational site studies, case studies and interviews along with lived experiences. Additionally, the exploration of Feminist Theory along with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs will be explored to optimize the development and empowerment of the young female demographic. The preliminary design process has been explored and will continue to be critiqued over the next four months, always returning to programming and design research outcomes to create an ideal FAB Center at the location of 21 Ossignton, Toronto.
