Get a Library Account

You must have a library account to borrow physical items (books, DVDs, laptops, portable plugs) from the Library's collection. See the loan period chart for more information.

Note: access to eResources is with your Humber username and password.

Full-time Students

  • Bring your Humber or Guelph-Humber student card to the circulation desk.
  • Accounts do not remain active during the summer unless you are enrolled in a course.

Part-time Students

  • Bring photo ID and proof of registration to the circulation desk.

Faculty & Staff

  • Bring your employee card to the circulation desk.
  • Your account is active for two years then you need to renew it.

Online Learners & Online Faculty

  • To access eResources, your Humber username and password is all you need.
  • Want print books and videos from the Library? Bring photo ID to the circulation desk to get a library account.

Alumni

Community Members

  • Bring photo ID confirming your home address to the circulation desk.
  • Cost: $25/year.
  • There are limits to the services you get.

Direct Borrowers & CMU and Brock B.Ed Students

  • Bring current identification issued by your home institution and photo ID confirming your home address to the circulation desk.
  • You need to renew your account at the start of each semester since accounts expire.
  • There are limits to the services you get.

Students can borrow the equipment listed below from the Library or Learning Commons. Bring your student card to the relevant desk to get the items.
