Communication Gaps in Queer Conscious Markets: Civil Union in a Canadian Society

Author:
Collin, Jesse
Year:
2017
Abstract:
Framed through a societal and legal framework of queer identity in a Canadian context, this study examines the gaps that exist between the wedding industry and its prospective gay male clientele. Both an in-depth review of the existing body of literature on this topic as well as several structured interviews with gay male couples living in Toronto, Ontario, explore this uncharted territory of civil union and its implications within the gay demographic.
