Abstract: 
This study aims to gain more insight into the communications strategies and tactics used by Canadian ballet companies to promote their company and performances. The research shows what is currently being done to communicate performing arts and more specifically ballet to various audiences and provides the insight from members of The National Ballet of Canada’s communications department. The research identifies successful communications practices, how communications have evolved and where communications in the performing arts are headed.
