The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on an Accountant’s Productivity

This research paper explores artificial intelligence (AI) in the accounting industry and the impact that it has on an accountant's productivity. AI is an emerging and evolving concept set to change the way accountants and those in similar industries work. This research project aims to gain insight into the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation on an accountant’s productivity by focusing on time management behaviour and the expected work environment. Our goal is to determine if Artificial Intelligence is leading to higher productivity in the accounting world or if it is hindering productivity. The report contains background and analysis of AI in the accounting industry and encapsulates the research process and resulting findings. The research process includes the creation of surveys and interviews that will guide our findings and conclusion.
