Abstract:
Well-developed communication strategies are known to be a powerful influencing tool for organizations. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of communication strategies in the success of youth-focused missions for non-profit organizations. This thesis explores the effects of public relations strategies in the fundraising scene, more specifically, with youth-affiliated causes. Primary research consisted of six in-person interviews with professionals working at a youth-centred non-profit organization. Research participants were encouraged to reflect on a variety of aspects, such as: his/her past career experiences in the non-profit industry. Studies show that working in the non-profit field is not only rewarding on a personal level, but also benefits the future development of society by creating more socially-responsible generations.
