Our commitment to continuous improvement

Text below H2 title

Humber participates in regular accessibility audits through LEAP, a College Libraries Ontario initiative supported by the Ontario Colleges Library Service. LEAP is a self-audit tool library teams at participating institutions use to evaluate the accessibility of library e-resources. Completed evaluations are entered into a repository that library teams can review to help make acquisition decisions, support library users and advocate for e-resource publishers to continually improve their accessibility features.

Barrier-free borrowing policies

Text below H2 title

We are committed to providing barrier-free access to the Library. That’s why we’ve eliminated overdue fines for most items and extended loan periods for our general collection, including books, ESL materials, children's books, leisure reads, plays, sheet music, DVDs, CDs and vinyl records. All fines collected are donated to Humber to support student bursaries.
