Create a prototype, record a podcast, stage a photoshoot, produce a video, design marketing materials — your imagination is the limit!
Book a space
Idea Lab spaces feature specialized tools and equipment to turn your creative vision into reality, including:
- 3D printers
- Laser and vinyl cutters
- Sewing and embroidery machines
- Heat presses
- Audio recording studios
- Video and photography studios
You can book spaces during our opening hours. Priority will be given to students working on assignments.
Borrow equipment
Come to the Lakeshore Idea Lab to borrow camera kits, audio recorder kits, tripods, and other accessories. Our equipment is available to students and employees from all areas of the college.
Our borrowing policy for Idea Lab equipment is found below.

Learn new skills
Our workshops will teach you how to shoot a video, build a simple website, use a 3D printer and more. We also host open lab sessions where you can work on projects with the Idea Lab team nearby for guidance.
